In light of the recent communication from the World Health Organisation declaring COVID-19 as pandemic, and the further steps outlined by the Government for self-isolation on the 23/03/20, we wanted to reach out and inform you of the measures we have in place to ensure business continuity during these uncertain times.
We have taken some time to assess our position to provide support to our customers amidst the COVID-19 outbreak, in conjunction with the continued safety of our staff. To fulfil both commitments, we have taken the decision to close the Archive at the end of this week (27/03/20) for a period of 3-weeks with a current planned re-opening date of the 20/04/20, but will operate an out of hours service to deal with urgent requests in the meantime.
During this period, we will not be accepting any returned material to the Archive due the limited staff presence but will continue to monitor this ever-changing situation and will update you with any further changes to our operating hours or service levels.
Out of Hours Process
As a customer, if your request is deemed urgent please submit a ‘F002 – Forensic Archive Request Form’ to the firstname.lastname@example.org email account.
Then follow this up with a phone-call to the out of hours FAL Duty Manager (07775824208) who will discuss your requirement and assess the urgency.
An ECD (Estimated Completion Date) will then be issued by email once the Duty Manager has assessed your requirement.
Once the request has been completed the Duty Manager will phone you directly to arrange delivery of the associated material.
Take care and stay safe.
From all at FAL
